Cold Aisle Containment (CAC) physically encloses the cold aisle so that chilled supply air is confined to rack intakes and cannot mix with hot exhaust. This separation improves cooling efficiency, permits higher chilled-water or supply-air temperatures, and supports higher densities, making containment a standard measure for energy-efficient air-cooled halls.
