Cold Aisle

Building & White Space

A Cold Aisle is the lane in a data hall where chilled supply air is delivered to the fronts of racks. Racks are arranged front-to-front so intakes face the cold aisle, which keeps cold supply and hot exhaust air separated and improves cooling efficiency and predictable equipment intake temperatures.
