A Uniformly Distributed Load is a load spread evenly over a length or area, expressed in force per unit length or per unit area rather than as a single point. In data centers floor and roof capacities are commonly specified as uniformly distributed loads, for example in kN/m2, giving a design basis for racks, plant and storage across a space.
