Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) is the systematic process of measuring and setting airflow and water flow throughout HVAC systems so each zone and unit receives its design quantity. Technicians measure flows, adjust dampers, valves and fan or pump speeds, and document results. In data centers TAB verifies that cooling reaches every rack as intended and provides a baseline for commissioning, containment tuning and future capacity changes.
