Duct Pressure Class is the design classification of a duct by the static pressure it must withstand, which sets its construction, gauge, reinforcement and sealing requirements per standards such as SMACNA or DW/144. In data centers the pressure class is specified for each duct system so ductwork is built to handle the fan pressures of high-airflow cooling and smoke-control systems without deforming or leaking.
