A Duct Bank is a bank of conduits, usually encased in reinforced concrete, that routes power and communications cables underground between buildings and equipment. It protects cables, maintains spacing for heat dissipation and allows future circuits to be pulled in. On data-center campuses duct banks carry medium-voltage feeders from the substation to buildings and interconnect generator yards, switchrooms and the meet-me infrastructure.
