Containment Leakage

Air Cooling
Also known ascontainment air leakagebypass leakage

Containment Leakage is the unintended flow of air between the hot and cold sides of an aisle-containment system through gaps, unsealed cable openings, missing blanking panels or poorly fitted doors. It causes bypass air and recirculation that undermine the temperature separation containment is meant to provide. In data centers minimizing containment leakage is essential to raise supply-air setpoints, cut fan energy and protect against hot spots.
