A Blanking Panel is a filler plate installed in unused rack U-spaces to block air from passing through the open gaps. By preventing hot exhaust from recirculating to equipment intakes through empty slots, it preserves hot- and cold-aisle separation, improves cooling efficiency and lowers intake temperatures, making it a simple but important airflow-management measure.
