A Permit to Work is a formal, documented authorization that controls high-risk activities before they begin, confirming hazards are assessed and precautions are in place. In data centers it governs work such as electrical, hot works or confined-space tasks, defining scope, duration, isolations and responsible parties, and links to risk assessments, method statements and lockout/tagout.
