Corrective Maintenance is work carried out to restore equipment to working order after a fault or failure is detected. It can be planned, when a deficiency is scheduled for repair, or reactive, in response to a breakdown. In data centers it complements preventive maintenance and is tracked through work orders and CMMS to close out identified defects.
