Also known asMFATwo-Factor Authentication2FAStrong Authentication

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an access control method that requires two or more independent verification factors, typically something you know (a password), something you have (a token or phone), and something you are (a biometric). Requiring multiple factors makes stolen credentials far less useful to an attacker and is a baseline control for both physical and logical access to data center systems.
