DDoS Protection is the set of technologies and services that detect and mitigate distributed denial-of-service attacks, in which floods of traffic from many sources attempt to overwhelm a target and disrupt service. Techniques include traffic scrubbing, rate limiting, and absorbing volume through large-capacity networks, protecting the availability of data center and internet-facing services against volumetric and application-layer attacks.
