A Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) is a low-voltage breaker housed in an insulating molded case, providing overload and short-circuit protection with thermal-magnetic or electronic trip units at moderate current ratings. It is compact and widely used on distribution boards and feeders. Data centers employ MCCBs for branch and sub-distribution protection downstream of the main switchboard and within PDUs.
