A Fan Wall is an array of multiple smaller electronically commutated fans arranged in a grid within an air handler or cooling unit, replacing one or two large fans. The redundant array offers higher efficiency at part load, N+1 resilience if a fan fails, and a more uniform airflow profile. In data center air-handling units it improves reliability and lets airflow modulate finely to match IT load.
