Alarm Rationalization

Monitoring & Control Systems

Alarm Rationalization is the systematic review of a control system's alarms to ensure each one is relevant, correctly prioritized and requires operator action. Following principles from standards such as ISA-18.2 and EEMUA 191, it removes nuisance and duplicate alarms so operators are not overwhelmed. In data centers it improves response to genuine faults across BMS and EPMS platforms.
