Coherent Optics

Structured Cabling
Also known ascoherent transmission

Coherent Optics is a transmission technique that modulates the amplitude, phase and polarization of light and uses digital signal processing at the receiver to recover it, greatly increasing capacity and reach over a single fiber. It underpins long-haul and metro DWDM and now appears in pluggable 400G ZR modules, bringing telecom-grade transport into data-center interconnect.
