A Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) is the central controller of a building's fire-detection and alarm system, monitoring detectors and call points, processing signals, and initiating alarms, notifications, and outputs. In data centers it coordinates zoning, pre-alarm and alarm states, interfaces with suppression and building systems, and provides the operator interface and event logging for life-safety response.
