An Alarm Zone is a defined subdivision of a building within which fire-detection and alarm devices are grouped so their activation can be identified to a specific area. In data centers zoning localizes alarms to a particular room, hall, or containment, speeding response, supporting phased evacuation, and coordinating cross-zoning logic for suppression release.
