A Site WUE (Site Water Usage Effectiveness) is the standard water usage effectiveness metric measured at the facility boundary, equal to the on-site water consumed for cooling and humidification divided by the IT equipment energy, expressed in litres per kilowatt-hour. It excludes the water embedded in electricity generation, which source WUE captures. It is the value most operators report and target for water stewardship.
