Rated-1 is the basic level of the ANSI/TIA-942 data center infrastructure rating, corresponding to a single, non-redundant path for power and cooling with no redundant components. Equivalent in intent to Uptime Tier I, it defines minimum provisions across telecommunications, architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems and offers the least protection against disruption and maintenance downtime.
