RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement) is a combined document that identifies the hazards of a task, assesses their risks and sets out the step-by-step safe method and controls for carrying it out. It is required before work begins. On data-center sites RAMS govern high-risk activities such as heavy lifts, live electrical work and working at height, and underpin the permit-to-work system in operational facilities.
