A Purchase Order (PO) is a buyer's formal, legally binding offer to a supplier specifying the goods or services, quantities, prices, delivery dates and terms of a purchase. In data-center procurement POs commit spend against approved budgets, trigger supplier fabrication and delivery, and are tracked against the procurement schedule so long-lead equipment is ordered in time for installation.
