P6 Professional is the desktop, Windows-based client of Oracle Primavera P6, favoured by planners for detailed schedule development, CPM calculation, resource analysis and layout customization. It connects to a shared database or runs standalone and exchanges schedules via XER and XML files. In data-center project controls it is the tool where planners build and update the detailed programme.
