An Activity is the fundamental unit of work in a schedule, a discrete task with a defined duration, logic links to other activities, and often assigned resources, costs and codes. In CPM scheduling activities are connected by relationships to compute the critical path. On data-center programmes activities represent installation, testing and milestone tasks that together form the detailed construction and commissioning sequence.
