A Float Path is a ranking of chains of activities in Primavera P6's multiple-float-path analysis, where float path 1 is the most critical (the longest/driving path) and higher-numbered paths are progressively less critical parallel chains. It helps planners see not just the critical path but the ranked near-critical paths. On data-center schedules it exposes which secondary workstreams most threaten the completion date.
