A Disaster Recovery Repository is the storage target that holds replicated data, backups and recovery images used to restore operations after a disruption. In data centers it is typically located at a separate site or in the cloud and is sized and structured to meet recovery-time and recovery-point objectives. It is a core component of a disaster recovery plan.
