Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is the numerical simulation of airflow, temperature and pressure by solving fluid-flow equations over a modeled space. In data centers it predicts cooling behavior before construction or change, letting engineers test rack layouts, containment, tile placement and failure scenarios virtually. It helps avoid hot spots and optimize energy use.
