A B-Side Demarc is the second independent demarcation point in a diversely routed, redundant connectivity design, terminating the alternate physical path to a customer's equipment. Kept physically separate from the A-side demarc, it ensures that a fault affecting one path, such as a fiber cut or panel failure, does not take down the service on the other.
