A Notification Appliance is an output device of the fire alarm system that alerts occupants, including horns, sounders, bells, strobes and combined horn/strobes. In a data center they are distributed to meet audibility and visibility requirements across data halls, plant rooms and offices, ensuring an evacuation signal is perceptible above equipment noise and for the hearing-impaired.
