VFD Control (Variable Frequency Drive control) regulates the speed of an AC motor by varying the frequency and voltage supplied to it, matching pump or fan output to demand and reducing energy use. In data centers VFDs drive chilled-water pumps, cooling-tower and CRAH fans, and other motors, enabling efficient part-load operation and smooth control by the BMS.
