Control Loop Tuning is the process of adjusting a PID loop's proportional, integral and derivative parameters so the loop responds quickly and settles without excessive overshoot or oscillation. In data centers proper tuning of cooling control loops ensures stable temperatures and pressures, avoids equipment hunting and hunting-induced wear, and is verified during commissioning.
