Start-to-Finish (SF) is the rarest schedule relationship, in which a successor activity cannot finish until its predecessor starts. It is used in specialized cases such as handovers between shifts or phased cutovers where an old operation continues until a new one begins. In data-center scheduling SF links appear occasionally in commissioning and migration sequences and should be used with care.
