Single-Phase Immersion is a cooling method in which IT equipment is submerged in a dielectric fluid that stays liquid throughout, absorbing heat and being pumped to a heat exchanger before returning to the tank. In data centers it offers high thermal capacity with simpler fluid handling than two-phase systems and no boiling, using oils or engineered fluids in horizontal tanks.
