Boiling Enhancement Coating

Liquid Cooling
Also known asboiling enhancement surfacenucleation coating

A Boiling Enhancement Coating is a textured or porous surface treatment applied to chips, cold plates or immersion components to promote nucleate boiling of the dielectric fluid. By creating many nucleation sites it increases the heat flux that can be removed before dryout and reduces the surface superheat required. In two-phase immersion and two-phase direct-to-chip systems it materially improves thermal performance at high power densities.
