Private Cloud is a cloud environment dedicated to a single organization, delivering self-service, elastic and virtualized resources on infrastructure that is not shared with other tenants. It can be hosted on-premises or in a colocation facility and offers greater control, security and compliance than public cloud, at the cost of the organization bearing capacity planning and much of the operational burden.
