Operational Risk is the risk of loss or disruption arising from failures in people, processes, systems or external events during day-to-day running of a facility. In data centers it includes human error, equipment failure, procedural gaps and supply-chain issues that threaten uptime and safety, and is managed through documented procedures, training, maintenance regimes and monitoring.
