Open Rack V3 is the Open Compute Project's third-generation rack standard, using a 21-inch equipment width and a central DC busbar that distributes power to sleds from shared rack-level power shelves. It is engineered for higher power densities and integrated liquid-cooling manifolds to support AI and high-density compute. Hyperscale and OCP-aligned data centers adopt ORv3 to standardize power, cooling, and serviceability at rack scale.
