Microsoft Project is a widely used desktop and cloud scheduling application supporting task lists, Gantt charts, CPM logic, resource assignment and progress tracking. Common for small to medium programmes and among subcontractors, it exchanges data with Primavera P6 via XML. On data-center projects it often appears at the package or trade level, with detailed master programmes typically maintained in P6.
