A Make-Up Water Assembly is the pipework, valves, backflow prevention and metering that replenishes water lost from a hydronic or heat-rejection system through evaporation, blowdown or leakage. In data centers it feeds chilled-water loops and cooling towers, incorporating backflow protection to safeguard the potable supply and metering to monitor consumption and detect abnormal losses.
