Loss of Cooling Test

Reliability Testing
Also known asCooling Failure TestThermal Ride-Through Test

A Loss of Cooling Test deliberately shuts down the mechanical cooling plant or a portion of it while the facility carries thermal load, to measure how quickly temperatures rise and whether redundant cooling and controls respond in time. In a data center it validates ride-through, thermal ramp rates and the safe window operators have before IT equipment reaches critical inlet temperatures.
