An Isolated-Parallel (IP) bus is a UPS system architecture in which each UPS module feeds its own load bus but all buses are tied together through reactors to a common ring, so healthy modules automatically support a failed or overloaded one. It combines the fault isolation of distributed systems with the load sharing of a parallel bus. Large data centers use IP topology for high availability with efficient module utilization.
