HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is a paraffinic renewable diesel made by hydrogenating fats and vegetable oils, producing a drop-in fuel that meets EN 15940 and can replace fossil diesel in generators with little or no modification. It cuts lifecycle carbon substantially and stores better than biodiesel. Data centers adopt HVO to lower the emissions of standby generator fleets without changing engines or fuel infrastructure.
