Black Start

Generators & Fuel Systems
Also known asblack-start capability

Black Start is the capability to restore a facility's power from a fully de-energized state using on-site generation, without drawing on the grid. It relies on generators, batteries and controls able to start unassisted and sequentially re-energize systems, and is a key resilience and recovery consideration for critical sites after a total power loss.
