Finish-to-Start (FS) is the most common schedule relationship, in which a successor activity cannot begin until its predecessor finishes. It models straightforward sequential work. In data-center programmes it drives sequences such as completing structural slabs before installing electrical rooms, or finishing containment before pulling cable, and defines much of the critical path through the works.
