A Facility Water System is the primary water loop that carries heat from the data hall's cooling equipment to outdoor heat-rejection plant such as chillers, cooling towers or dry coolers. In data centers it forms the primary side of a coolant distribution unit's heat exchange and is measured by water-usage effectiveness. It includes pumps, piping, filtration and water treatment.
