A Design Narrative is a written description explaining how a building system is intended to work, the concepts adopted and the reasoning behind key decisions. In data centers it accompanies drawings and calculations to communicate design intent for electrical, mechanical and other systems to reviewers, contractors and the commissioning team, supporting understanding, coordination and later operation.
