A Water Flow Switch is a device fitted to a sprinkler pipe that detects moving water and sends an electrical signal to the fire alarm system when a sprinkler head operates. In a data center it identifies which zone or riser is flowing, allowing the alarm system to pinpoint the area of activation and initiate the appropriate response and shutdowns.
