Shear Stud Connector

Concrete, Steel & Building Shell
Also known asHeaded StudShear Connector

A Shear Stud Connector is a headed steel stud welded to a steel beam and embedded in the concrete slab above so the two act compositely, sharing horizontal shear at the interface. This composite action lets shallower beams span further and carry more load. In data centers it enables efficient long-span composite floors that keep structural depth low while supporting heavy equipment and services.
