Port Capacity is the number of available connection points on network and structured-cabling infrastructure, such as switch ports, patch-panel ports and cross-connects. In data centers and colocation facilities it is tracked as a finite resource for provisioning, because exhausting available ports limits new deployments and interconnections even when power and space remain.
