A Fire Pump Controller is the listed control panel that automatically starts and monitors a fire pump on a drop in system pressure and manages its operation, alarms and, for electric units, power transfer. In a data center it ensures the diesel or electric fire pump delivers rated flow and pressure to sprinkler and standpipe systems on demand, with status reported to the fire alarm.
